Student art work, musical performances, theatrical pieces, and more will be on display. Thank you to Ms. Priest, Mr. Stauffer and Ms. Wallner for organizing this event.

Congratulations to our Battle of the Books team. The team consists of 4th graders -Kaiden DeRiveria, Cael Smith, Chloe Austin, Hilary Klahn, and coach by Mrs. Sue Frank. They competed with other teams from Ionia County in the Battle of the Books competition. In this competition, that read several books and are asked a series of questions about those books in a "Jeopardy" game show manner! This takes a lot of time and effort. Great job representing Saranac Elementary !!

Congrats to our 4th graders who are champions of the Ionia County "Battle of the Books" competition.

Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week is being celebrated at the elementary the week of May 5, 2025.
The PTSO is having a fun Dessert Day on Wednesday May 7. We are looking for dessert or sweet treat donations for our staff to pick up to remind them that we think they are PRETTY SWEET!
We will take whatever you bring, homebaked or store bought. If doing muffins, cupcakes or cookies please package in 1 dozen quantities. Pies and cakes also welcome. If your specialty is making giant items, half dozen is probably great. Really it's your choice.
Items can be dropped off to the elementary office Monday May 5 or Tuesday May 6 during school (or a.m. Wedneday if needed). Feel free to message if you need help coordinating drop off.

5 Miles = Shoelace and toe token
10 Miles = Toe Token
15 Miles = Toe Token
20 Miles = Shoelace, Toe token, and water bottle
The school will also host family nights at the track. Those dates will be posted soon.

Hello SCS Parents/Guardians! Wednesday, April 16th is Saranac JSH's CPR certification and Career day for seniors. This year, Saranac Elementary students raised $6,740.22 for the American Heart Association. Over the last six years, the school has donated over $30,000 to the AHA. Multiple organizations in the state of Michigan receive funds from the AHA to further research and develop new procedures to help people.
This only goes to highlight the kindness and giving spirit of our school, staff, and community members!
Thank you, Tami Wernett, staff, and all our students for their continued support.

Reminder:
Scholarship applications for Saranac Community Schools are available on the website. Contact the high school office for more information.
