A group of JSH students led by Mr. Jeremy Winsor, JSH Science Teacher, as part of a summer science course, have spent the past couple of weeks building an aquaponics apparatus that will be used by our science department to raise fish and grow plants in the school shop.
The apparatus will feature a 720 gallon fish tank that will provide the water and nutrients to feed the plant table. In addition to the actual building, the students studied and were able to present how the system will work once completed.
