Madeleine Hill qualified for the Mid-East Cross Country Championships. This is an elite race that features 12 high school men and women senior runners from Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Ohio. She earned this spot through her excellent performance at the MITCA Championships, by running 18:35. Madeleine will be running for GVSU next year.

Congratulations to the Saranac Boys Cross-Country team and Madeleine Hill for your performance at the MHSAA state meet. The Saranac Boys finished 11th in the state with Nathan Day and Madeleine Hill both qualifying for all-state honors. Well done everyone !!

Saranac Community Schools is pleased to introduce Sherie Hagen. Sherie will be working in the food service department at Saranac Elementary School. Sherie is a Saranac grad who has been a very active part of the Saranac community for many years.

With a victory in the district semi-final, Saranac moves on to play Pewamo-Westphalia Friday night in the MHSAA District Final. Game time 7:00 pm

Saranac Boy's Team Division 3- 10:10 am start
Madeleine Hill will run in the Girl's Division 3- 11:30
Meet will be held at MIS in Brooklyn , MI (12626 US-12)

Congrats to our Cross Country teams! Women took 7th in the Regional, with Madeleine Hill earning 4th and making it to State! Men took 2nd, they also advance to State. Congrats to Nathan Day for taking 4th overall. See you at the MHSAA State meet. Details will be shared soon.

Post-season action
Boys and Girls Cross-Country will compete in Regionals this Saturday in Allendale. Start time for Saranac will be approximately 10:00 am. Good Luck Runners!!!!


The Saranac HS Band took 5th place in Class D this past Saturday at the East Kentwood Marching Band Competition, just 3 points shy of 3rd. The band received awards of excellence in music, marching, percussion, and color guard. The color guard also finished 3rd overall in Class D.

Last night the cross country teams competed in their last CMAC meet. Our young middle school girl's team placed third and our middle school s boy's placed second, just edging out Bath. Earning medals were Lydia Rasmus, Kaytlyn Day, Sawyer VanKuiken, Logan Gregory, Theo VanKuiken, and Brady Oosterhouse.
Our high school women’s team edged out Laingsburg to take second place. Honorable mention went to Sadie Trahan and 1st Team All-Conference went to Alyssa Possehn and Madeleine Hill. Madeleine won the CMAC! Congrats to her!
Our high school men's team took first! Honorable mention went to Ben Sluiter. 2nd team All-Conference went to Evan Johnson, Hunter Helminski, Evan Oosterhouse. 1st Team All-Conference went to Elijah Powell and Nathan Day.
